Recap: Chavez Titans vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears
After flying high against the Orange Cove Titans on Thursday, the Chavez Titans came back down to earth. Chavez took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sierra Pacific on Friday.
Sierra Pacific was led to victory by Nevin Pitkin and Fabian Garcia. Pitkin scored 11 points along with 3 steals, while Garcia scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Pitkin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Dodd, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Chavez has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Sierra Pacific, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Chavez is on the road again on Saturday and play against Fresno at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Sierra Pacific, they will square off against Immanuel on Saturday. Immanuel will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
