Softball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wellborn on Saturday, Weaver came back down to earth. The Bearcats took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Randolph County Tigers on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Randolph County, they pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Weaver by a score of 7-2 later that day.
