Pendleton County never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Newport as they made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for Pendleton County, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Colton Glahn made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Colton Ortlieb was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Verst, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Pendleton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport only posted an OBP of .188.

Pendleton County has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Newport, their loss dropped their record down to 0-21.

Pendleton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Campbell County on the 7th. As for Newport, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-5 win against Holmes on the 8th.
