Football Recap: Central Private Comes Up Short at Home Against North Iberville

Central Private unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the North Iberville Bears on Thursday, falling 47-20. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Justice Roy was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jaylen Mims was Roy's top target, picking up 18 receiving yards.

Central Private has already played their next game, a 40-28 defeat against Ascension Christian on the 12th. As for North Iberville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-25 win against Livonia on the 12th.
