Recap: Hancock Central Bulldogs vs. Johnson County Trojans
The Hancock Central Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Johnson County 58-43. That's another feather in the cap for Hancock Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hancock Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karter Harper, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Harper has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Josiah Ingram was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Hancock Central pushed their record up to 4-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Johnson County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hancock Central will face off against Georgia Military College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Georgia Military College is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Johnson County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wilkinson County at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th.
