Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Grand Oaks walked away with it. They blew past the MacArthur Generals 8-1 on Thursday. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting MacArthur from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Sophia Georgas led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Grand Oaks is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six contests. MacArthur moved to 15-5-2 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Grand Oaks will have a chance to go back-to-back against MacArthur: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Monday.
