Volleyball Recap: Caprock Academy Beats Grand Valley for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Caprock Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Grand Valley Cardinals by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Taylor Phillips paced Caprock Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Phillips got some help from Zoey Polson and her 17 assists. Phillips was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the loss, Grand Valley still got an impressive performance from Alexa Navarro, who had 19 digs.

Caprock Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Grand Valley, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coming up, Grand Valley will welcome Roaring Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caprock Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Cardinals' matchup: after the Cardinals face off against Hayden, they'll take on Caprock Academy again at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th.
