Football Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Lockport

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lockport had no problem doing just that on Saturday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 win over the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. 21 seems to be a good number for the Porters as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

The win (which was Lockport's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points on average over those games. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Lockport nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
