It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the St. Amant Gators on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 28, 2025.

Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 24-11 record this season. As for St. Amant, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-14.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Amant, they will challenge Benton on Friday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
