Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken Knights vs. St. John's Cadets
St. Mary's Ryken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. John's Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-12.
St. Mary's Ryken's offense was headlined by Camille Munley and Ella Burghardt, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Alex Campbell and her 15 assists. Emma Brashear and Chloe Russell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
St. Mary's Ryken's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for St. John's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
