Softball Recap: Brillion Lions vs. Reedsville Panthers
Brillion put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past the Reedsville Panthers 12-2. The win was familiar territory for Brillion who now have five in a row.
Jana O'Connell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Miller, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Brillion's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Reedsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brillion will take on New Holstein at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Reedsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mishicot at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mishicot will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Reedsville surely won't give up without a fight.
