Baseball Game Preview: Fleetwood Tigers vs. Exeter Township Eagles

The Fleetwood Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Exeter Township Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fleetwood's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Exeter Township's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Fleetwood needed a bit of extra time to put away Conrad Weiser. They skirted past the Scouts 8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Exeter Township's offense. They lost 6-0 to Muhlenberg on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fleetwood's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Exeter Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Fleetwood couldn't quite get it done against Exeter Township when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
