Football Game Preview: Edna Cowboys vs. Llano Yellowjackets + How To Watch

The Edna Cowboys will challenge the Llano Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a nine-game winning streak alive.

Edna is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Ingram Moore. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cowboys have posted since August 30, 2024.

Edna can attribute much of their success to Maverick Robertson, who rushed for 88 yards and one score.

Edna didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Ingram Moore to a completion percentage of just 32%. The Cowboys weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 50%.

Meanwhile, Llano got the win against Goliad on Friday by a conclusive 31-7. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Edna better focus on containing Cole Landers and Graham Prokop as the pair were huge in Llano's win. Landers rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while Prokop picked up 69 receiving yards and one TD.

Edna's record is now 10-3. As for Llano, their record now sits at 12-1.

Everything came up roses for Edna against Llano in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 41-14 win. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
