Football Recap: Ruskin Comes Up Short

Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-6 loss at the hands of the Platte County Pirates. The Golden Eagles lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-14 score last time.

Ruskin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Platte County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ruskin is set to square off against their familiar foe Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Platte County will challenge rival Raytown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
