Basketball Recap: Colonial Heights Skates Past Nottoway with Ease

Colonial Heights's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They breezed by the Nottoway Cougars to the tune of 64-31. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Colonials considering their 23-point performance the match before.

Despite the loss, Nottoway had strong showings from Hailie Turner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards, and Anna Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. Turner is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lorraine Wilson, who posted two points and eight rebounds.

Colonial Heights' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Nottoway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Colonial Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-33 defeat against Prince George on the 17th. As for Nottoway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-38 victory against Lunenburg Central on the 19th.
