Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nacogdoches, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hallsville on Friday, sneaking past 54-52. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Bobcats are ranked 868th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Texas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Nacogdoches, their win bumped their record up to 20-10.
