Recap: Ray Bearcats vs. Globe Tigers
If the Ray Bearcats were riding high off their 42-20 takedown of the Superior Panthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ray ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-31 walloping at the hands of Globe on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Ray has suffered since December 30, 2023.
Malena Goad was Ray's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Makayla Barajas held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Ray has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Globe, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
Ray will head out on the road to challenge BASIS Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Globe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Florence at 5:30 p.m. Florence is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
