Basketball Recap: Tennessee Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Tennessee Preparatory Academy was the 104-97 winner over Bolton when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Tennessee Preparatory Academy Diplomat Lions lost 93-73 to the Bolton Wildcats on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (61), the Diplomat Lions still had to take the loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bolton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kylan Collins, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 28 points along with eight steals and six boards. Collins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahsad MacLin, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Tennessee Preparatory Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Bolton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tennessee Preparatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on iSchool of Lewisville at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Bolton will take on Trezevant in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
