Football Recap: Greater New Bedford RVT Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Greater New Bedford RVT extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Fairhaven Blue Devils and fell 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 29th).

Gabe Figueroa threw for 65 yards and one touchdown.

As for Fairhaven, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Evan Lamontagne had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 183 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes. Those rushing touchdowns marked the first that he has punched in this season.

Greater New Bedford RVT and Fairhaven will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bears are set to square off against their familiar foe Somerset Berkley Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairhaven will take on rival Seekonk at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
