Preview: Lincoln County Lynx vs. GV Christian Guardians
The Lincoln County Lynx will square off against the GV Christian Guardians at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Lincoln County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Awaken Christian, but they still walked away with a 76-72 victory. The victory was just what Lincoln County needed coming off of a 83-50 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lincoln County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rowdy Lloyd, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lloyd has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristian Johnson, who scored 18 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for GV Christian at home against Laughlin on Saturday as the team secured a 75-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for GV Christian.
Lincoln County has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for GV Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Lincoln County skirted past GV Christian 76-73 in their previous meeting last Friday. Will Lincoln County repeat their success, or does GV Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
