Softball Recap: Royal Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Royal can now relate to. They came up short against the Kennedy Fighting Irish on Monday, falling 11-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Highlanders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Holly White was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Royal has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Kennedy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-15.

Royal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aquinas at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
