The Hamilton Bobcats will challenge the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hamilton came up short against Santa Rosa Academy on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Bobcats have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Kaitlynn Barreto put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Genesis Andrade made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, while it was Desert Christian Academy who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Nuview Bridge who put up more. Desert Christian Academy lost 20-7 to Nuview Bridge.
Sydney Patterson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Phoebe Thorpe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Desert Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hamilton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hamilton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. However, it's not like Desert Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
