Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Xendra Jilek and Abby Miller Lead Barron to Victory

Barron won the last time they faced Cumberland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Bears put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Bears.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Barron was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6, 25-13.

Leading Barron to victory were Abby Miller and Xendra Jilek. Miller had nine digs and two aces, while Jilek had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Jilek has posted since back in August. Isabell Donica also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Barron was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cumberland only served two.

Barron's record now sits at 20-3. As for Cumberland, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Barron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Northwestern on the 25th. As for Cumberland, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against St. Croix Falls on the 25th.
