Volleyball Recap: Fillmore Comes Up Short

Fillmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Oxnard Yellowjackets.

Xander Young was the offensive standout of the contest as he had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave him a new career-high.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Oxnard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Fillmore will head out on the road to take on Carpinteria at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oxnard, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Foothill Tech on the 18th.
