After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conestoga Valley, Lampeter-Strasburg was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Warwick Warriors with a sharp 11-1 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.
Cooper Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Lampeter-Strasburg got a massive performance out of Gavin Tipping, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Tipping has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brayden Hart, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Lampeter-Strasburg's record now sits at 15-5. As for Warwick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.
Lampeter-Strasburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warwick, they will square off against Lower Dauphin at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
