Volleyball Recap: Maricopa Comes Up Short

Maricopa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mica Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.

Maricopa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against St. Augustine Catholic on the 13th. As for Mica Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Basha on the 11th.
