Softball Recap: Kenwood Comes Up Short

Kenwood extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-13 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dundalk Owls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bluebirds have suffered since March 22, 2024.

As for Dundalk, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.

For Dundalk's part, Ryliegh Gluth was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Gluth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makayla Woods, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

As of now, neither Kenwood nor Dundalk have any future games scheduled.
