Basketball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Waverly didn't have enough. They took a blow against the Lebo Wolves on Thursday, falling 52-23. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lebo, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waverly will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Franklin on February 4th. Lebo also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Jayhawk Linn on February 4th.
