Baseball Recap: Yazoo City Takes a Loss

Yazoo City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Canton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 last Friday.

Yazoo City's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Canton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yazoo City is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Canton will square off against rival Cleveland Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
