Volleyball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Chickasha Fighting Chicks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Elgin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chickasha work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26, 25-19.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-26. As for Chickasha, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Elgin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Tuttle on the 30th. As for Chickasha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Midwest City on the 30th.
