Softball Recap: Bourgeois Comes Up Short

After flying high against Terrebonne last Thursday, Bourgeois came back down to earth. The Bourgeois Braves fell 10-6 to the Covenant Christian Academy Lions on Monday. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Bourgeois has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. Covenant Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Coming up, Bourgeois will challenge Thibodaux at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bourgeois is facing Thibodaux at the right time seeing as Thibodaux is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Centerville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.43 runs per game on average), something Covenant Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
