Recap: Donna Redskins vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Donna Redskins can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 45-7 loss at the hands of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North. Donna was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.
Geoffrey Creighton lefevre threw for 125 yards on 12 of 30 attempts. Dallas Zuniga was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Marcus Mata rushed for 32 yards.
Alejandro Aparicio had a dynamite game for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, rushing for 193 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Aparicio really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run. Ethan Guerra and his 84 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's victory.
Donna's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Donna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will take on Victoria East at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Victoria East is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
