Soccer Recap: Pinewood Comes Up Short

Pinewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Menlo School Knights. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1151st, while the Knights are ranked 167th).

Pinewood's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Menlo School, they pushed their record up to 9-2-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Pinewood has already played their next match (against Sacred Heart Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Menlo School has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against King's Academy.
