Soccer Game Preview: East Hall vs. Johnson

East Hall hasn't had much luck against Johnson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Hall took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Vikings who were credited with the victory.

If East Hall heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Johnson took over last week. The Knights put the hurt on Lumpkin County with a sharp 6-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Johnson, who have now won four contests by five goals or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Johnson and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those two games. As for East Hall, their record is now 4-9-1.

East Hall suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Johnson when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
