Dixon and East Carteret are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Dixon Bulldogs will host the East Carteret Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dixon was the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over North Brunswick on Monday. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kailei Dawsey made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lilly Keeling was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Alivia Nokes, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Dixon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Brunswick only posted an OBP of .125.

Like Dixon, East Carteret also got a great game from a two-way player: Amilya Lewis. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Lewis was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, East Carteret got a massive performance out of Mali Peck, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Peck has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Dixon pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
