Preview: McBee Panthers vs. Cheraw Braves
The McBee Panthers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cheraw Braves at 6:00 p.m.
McBee kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 50-39 to Chesterfield. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McBee in their matchups with Chesterfield: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Cheraw earned a 61-52 victory over Forest Hills on Tuesday.
Cheraw got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sa'Nya Murray out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was My'Shauna Worrell, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds.
McBee's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Cheraw, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
McBee didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cheraw in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory. Does McBee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cheraw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
