Baseball Game Preview: Atwater Falcons vs. Los Banos Tigers

The Atwater Falcons will square off against the Los Banos Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Atwater's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Atwater came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Livingston, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Wolves since May 12, 2021.

Atwater saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Pimentel, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Los Banos, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Merced with a sharp 11-3 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Los Banos' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Atwater, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
