Softball Recap: Winthrop Takes a Loss

Winthrop fell victim to Marblehead and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Magicians, falling 12-0. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Winthrop saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Spencer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Spencer has hit this season.

Winthrop's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Marblehead, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Winthrop will take on Northeast Metro RVT at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marblehead, they will head out to take on Medford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
