Football Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Butler lost against Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Tornado fell 21-14 to Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion]. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Tornado have lost by exactly seven points.

Although Butler took the loss, they still got scores from Tyson Pino and Nicco Baggetta.

Ethan Rex was his usual excellent self, rushing for 103 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 83 receiving yards and one TD for Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion]. That's the most rushing touchdowns Rex has posted since back in September. Carter Hindman was another key player, throwing for 132 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Butler and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion], they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Butler nor Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] have any future games scheduled.
