Volleyball Recap: Waverly/South Shore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wilmot on Thursday, Waverly/South Shore came back down to earth. The Coyotes lost 3-0 to Estelline/Hendricks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Coyotes have suffered since September 16th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-18.

Jaina Johnson paced Waverly/South Shore's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Marlie Riter and her six assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Waverly/South Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Estelline/Hendricks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

Waverly/South Shore has already played their next contest (against Florence/Henry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Estelline/Hendricks, they will be playing at home against James Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
