Soccer Game Preview: Colonial Forge vs. Stafford

The Colonial Forge Eagles will take on the Stafford Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colonial Forge's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Colonial Forge narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past North Stafford 2-1.

Meanwhile, Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Mountain View. While losing is never fun, Stafford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Mountain View are ranked 11th).

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Colonial Forge, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-2.
