Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Nevada Union Miners

The Roseville Tigers will challenge the Nevada Union Miners at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roseville is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Del Campo: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Roseville blew Del Campo out of the water with a 48-21 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 21 point advantage.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nevada Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They took down Twelve Bridges 49-33 on Tuesday.

Roseville better keep an eye on Ellyse Halvorson. She was instrumental in Nevada Union's win, going 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points in addition to six assists and six steals. Sydney Tesene was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Nevada Union was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Nevada Union's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Roseville, they have also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
