Basketball Recap: Loogootee Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

If Bloomfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Loogootee, they should've done a better job of containing Madison Waggner. The Loogootee Lions took down the Bloomfield Cardinals 43-27 on Monday thanks in part to Waggner, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 boards. Those 27 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield had strong showings from Lani Graves, who posted three points and seven rebounds, and Adalyn Figg, who had six points and six boards.

Loogootee's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Bloomfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.

Loogootee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-14 defeat against North Knox on the 28th. As for Bloomfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-34 win against Seven Oaks Classical on the 28th.
