Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Strom Thurmond). They were the clear victor by a 64-41 margin over the Ninety Six Wildcats on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Strom Thurmond found their leader in freshman Zy Rouse, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points and four steals. Rouse has become a key player for Strom Thurmond: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 9-11 otherwise. Deonte Phillips was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Ninety Six's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carver Davis, who posted 13 points. Davis has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kamani Williams, who put up five points.

Strom Thurmond now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Ninety Six, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Strom Thurmond has already played their next match (against Saluda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ninety Six does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
