Estill County dropped their record down to 21-10 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They fell 6-2 to the Perry County Central Commodores. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Engineers of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Spencer Young put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Callee Snowden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Perry County Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

On Perry County Central's side, Jossie Mullins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. Mullins has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Dixon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Mikayla Shepherd was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Estill County nor Perry County Central have any future games scheduled.
