Soccer Recap: Camarillo Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Camarillo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Simi Valley Pioneers on Tuesday. Michael Mariscal had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Scorpions.

Camarillo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Simi Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Coincidentally, Camarillo and Simi Valley will both be playing Oak Park the next time they take the pitch. Simi Valley will host Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Camarillo will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
