Basketball Recap: Twiggs Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Strong Rock Christian

Twiggs Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Strong Rock Christian Patriots and fell 80-39. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Strong Rock Christian found their leader in sophomore Caleb Gaudry, who went 14-for-20 on his way to 32 points and five steals. Landen East was another key player, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 15 points and five boards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twiggs Academy will welcome Fullington Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strong Rock Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Windsor Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
