Basketball Recap: Wildwood Catholic Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Wildwood Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Holy Spirit Spartans. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Wildwood Catholic's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Holy Spirit, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Wildwood Catholic will face off against Middle Township at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holy Spirit, they will take on Absegami at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Absegami will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Holy Spirit surely won't give up without a fight.
