Volleyball Recap: McCutcheon Comes Up Short

McCutcheon's tournament run continued when they took on New Albany on Saturday. The Mavericks fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

McCutcheon's offense was headlined by Audrey Turpin and Audrey Crowe, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Lexi Shondell and her 11 assists. Finally, Marin Budreau kept McCutcheon's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

McCutcheon now has a losing record of 10-11. As for New Albany, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

McCutcheon has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Silver Creek on the 27th. As for New Albany, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cathedral on the 27th.
