Baseball Recap: Lodi Triumphs

Lodi's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Saddle Brook Falcons a 6-0 shutout. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 13-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Angel Alfaro was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lodi's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Saddle Brook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lodi will square off against Hawthorne at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saddle Brook, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ridgefield Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
